Why does man always want to be a better man ? If there is a better man, why dont he just reconcile to the fact and carry on?? Why does he need to try to be THE better man? Whence this struggle , this lust to tower over the others? Whence this struggle , this lust to rule over the others? Whence this struggle , this lust to control, to manipulate the others?

Why does man have to prove he is the better man? why?

All these politicians out there… is it solely for public service that they are spending there lives in constant drudgery of polls and campaigns ? Or is it just another of those money-minting career options with just a little scrap of luck involved-like the stock market for example. ?
Agreed, there’s a lot of money, legal or illegal, white or black, involved in Politics if taken as a career. What a Lalu Prasad or a YS Reddy fights for is to uphold his lucrative position.
And there are people who have taken to politics as a career from a rather young age, actively participating in student politics even at the undergraduate level to rise to heavy positions in the national/ state politics.

But, what beats me is why the people around me are turning into politicians at a place where party politics is unheard of and a victory here in no way helps the advancement through the ranks of a political party. Surely, politics as a career is not on the agenda of these people.
And surely the positions up for grabs are in no way lucrative monetarily.
Surely, these positions are in no way going to help one in the careers (read management studies) if they adversely impact the written scores ( Yep! I’m talking of CAT here)

It beats me why people are trippin gover each other to contest for “positions of repute” in the institute. It beats me why I’m writing all this and at the same time “aspiring” for something close.

When I added the cute Sania Mirza pic to this page, what I wanted to do was to regularly update the “hot” topic pic. But Sania is proving too hot to let other pictures adorn my page. The last I know is Sania pipped US open champ Kuznetsova, the no. 7 ranked player to reach the third round and is likely to become atleast the 77th ranked player in the world. Sania is eighteen.
