Search engines and unsterilised dogs.

Search engines and unsterilised dogs. no. they have nothing in common except being written about in the same post here or so I believe.

Search engines now come in all kinds and colors. Though I use google for most of my searches, My personal favorite is MSN search, for it provides the maximum search engine traffic to this page.

A few of the search strings that brought people to this page at some point of time in the last few weeks. ( most of them from MSN search)

1. Anjali Tendulkar a few peronal pics
2. Exposed hymen pic
3. Genius mathematician.
4. unlikely stomach ailment
5. sexy sania mirza.
6. unlikely marriage desire
7. Raghav story teller
8. mobile phone message search blog
9. India poverty
10. sexiest female navel

Search engines rock! Microsoft more so!

The beautiful IIT Madras campus is home to the highly endangered Black buck ( a.k.a Krishna deer, which happens to be the state animal of Andhra Pradesh ) and the not so highly endangered spotted deer and the not at all endangered domestic (?) dogs of doubtful pedigree.
The powers to be decided one beautiful winter morning that the dogs posed a big threat to deer on the campus and ‘even’ to the sizeable human population ( a species which unfortunately does not have a natural defence mechanism like antlers or maybe hooves.)

People from somewhere came in a truck and took away all the dogs to somehwere( sniff…sniff) apparently to sterilise them. No high heeled animal rights advocate was present so I do not know if the dogs were to be put to sleep or put under the scalpel. It sure was touching to watch five or six men chasing each poor frightened dog and throwing it into the truck. The deer are likely to be happier now. “The dogs must be muslim. They know only one way of development – creating more of their own kind.” said someone at the lunch table that afternoon.

That reminds me… this is that time of the year when the deer are supposed to be mating. It is also that kind of the year when Saarang, probably India’s biggest college festival happens. People pay hundreds of bucks to watch classical and hindi film music, stuff they have watched a million times on TV and a night of rock, which as a matter of principle dissapoints. All these shows are wrapped up before eleven, come what may, for the deer and few much more abundant species have to make merry and we are generous people here at the IIT.
