A Glorious Prospect
Around the world, more and more women are taking up men’s work. They are doctors, bankers, artists, cabbies, criminals and even heads of states. They write books, make movies, build corporations, edit newspapers and cheat people. And they do it very well. I dream of a day when we men will have nothing to do but lie in bed till twelve, read sheldonish novels, have nice 4 pm teas to ourselves, and tax our brains with nothing more trying than discussions upon the latest patterns in trousers and arguments as to what Mr. Kumar’s shirt was made of and whether it fitted him. It is a glorious prospect.
