One of those clear headed days, thought I should have an “about me” page. Who cares? Most likely nobody but me (and a few people wasting time at work). On the off-chance that you want to put a face to the name or a personality to the posts, this might help.
I have a thick South-Indian accent and was born twenty three years ago in a small south Indian town called Nellore. I lived the first three years of my life in another beautiful south Indian town by the sea, Machilipatnam.
Two days before I turned three, the family moved to the city of Hyderabad. This is where I spent the major portion of my life, went to school, made friends, grew up assuming the laid-back attitude of the city I call home. I was the perfect Indian son – good at studies, abhoring disorder, keeping away from girls and the like. Also, like all good Indian kids, I wanted to go to college at an Indian Institute of Technology.
So, one month before I turned 17, I moved out of home for the first time to go to college at the Indian Institute of Technology at Chennai, another south Indian city by the sea. I was to study civil engineering. Though I quickly found that engineering did not interest me, I chose to stay on and finish the course. The four years at college where I interacted with some wonderful people screwed with my head and transformed me into what I am now. Partly to reflect the true character, I chose the online identity myndfcukd. Unlike good Indian kids, I did not go for graduate studies in the USA.
I became a management consultant and moved back to Hyderabad. I was there for two more years, helping big corporates make more money, getting bored of the job, dabbling in freelance writing, winning drinking contests, gambling, working on start-up ideas and trying to seduce women – Living the good life, as one of my friends puts it.
About a year ago, I joined the Indian Institute of Management at Ahmedabad and have since been trying to learn how to run a business effectively and efficiently; buying time until I decide what I want to do with my life.
At various times, I have been interested in quizzing, debating, film making, krsna consciousness, chess, automobile design, existentialism, calculus, nihilism, the 60s life, rock music and a bunch of other stuff.
I’m a sucker for books, cars and mobile phones. I’ll write a book, drive the most beautiful car and use the sexiest mobile phone. I don’t always find it easy to order a pizza, buy a beer or hire a stripper with the little money that is left after spending on the books, the cars and the mobile phones. So, you may want to help me by buying me a beer. (All beer buyers will receive a free leather bound copy of My Memoirs: Volume I as soon as and if at all it is published.)
I’m a loner with no friends very social person and am admired by everyone who meets me. So, if you are in Ahmedabad sometime, you can have the pleasure of my company over coffee, pizza, beer or whatever, depending on your gender, inclination and budget.
You can reach me at myndfcukd@gmail.com, though I do not understand why you would want to do it.
